This is the setup. Cable from the wall goes to a splitter, which splits to one cable to the cable modem and one cable to the TV. If I connect the cable modem directly to the wall, it works. If I connect the cable to the splitter, it does not work, but the TV does not connect to it. I tried another splitter, and get the same reaction - TV works, modem does not. My only theory is that the signal is not good enough for some reason for the internet / modem connection to work through a splitter. If i use the splitter and do not connect to TV to it, it still does not work. What do you guys think? I would like to see you on my own wait for the cable guy to come and probably pay some godly service fee.
Any help will be apprecited.
I did not find the right solution from the Internet.
